Barclay Lake Trail

It has been two weeks since my last hike and I could hear that "the mountains are calling and I must go" (John Muir). This time from Baring Mountain.
The temperatures were going to be in the mid 30s with a 90% chance of rain - very nice for a weekend just before Christmas. So I headed out on the Barclay Lake trail.

"Barclay Lake sits snug between Merchant Peak and Baring Mountain, an awesome pair of imposing peaks. A gentle and easy hike, Barclay is a welcoming portal into the rugged terrain of Washington's newest wilderness, the 106,577-acre Wild Sky." (Washington Trails Association).
The video highlights have been posted on my Wawhiker YouTube channel.
